Muskoka Victim Services
Muskoka Victim Services provides immediate on-site support to victims of crime and tragic circumstance.
In September 2020, the organization reached out for help with creating content for its social media profiles. The goal was to raise awareness about the organization’s services and their availability to anyone in the communities of Muskoka, with or without a referral.
We began by developing templates with a consistent brand identity to help the organization become more recognizable on social media. We then created messaging content to promote Muskoka Victim Services’ offerings. The content needed to convey a soft, supportive brand voice to help build trust with community members who may reach out for services.
Since launching these initial marketing assets, we have expanded our communication efforts to help the organization with volunteer recruitment, fundraising, and community education. On any given day, we share educational content about topics such as human trafficking, harm reduction, online safety, and other pressing issues affecting the community.
In 2021, Muskoka Victim Services was selected as the beneficiary for the Smile Cookie campaign hosted by Gravenhurst Tim Hortons. To support this fundraising, we created a series of posters and social media content to promote the event. As part of the campaign, we produced messaging that gave an honest look at the difficult and often hidden work that the organization’s team does each and every day for some of the most vulnerable community members. The event raised $9,000 for volunteer training and much-needed assistance for victims.
